Camping at Bedni Bugyal brings the most fascinating impressions of the Garhwal Himalayas at its lap with the most undiluted nature's wonders. The magnificent views is treat for the eyes as well as soul. Bedni Bugyal is one of the biggest meadows in Uttarakhand. The vision of the trishul massif from the meadow is wonderful, the Gangotri range, the peaks of Nanda Ghunti and chaukhamba are also clearly visible from here. This abundant green meadow is adorned with blooms in a wide range of varieties. The rich flora of the meadow includes 'Brahm Kamal'. There is also a small lake 'Bedni Kund', positioned amidst the meadow. Camping in such perfect surroundings is an experience to cherish. A romantic getaway like nothing else.
The tourists have to travel to Bedni Bugyal, the next possible camping site, which is about 12 to 13 kilometers from Wan. Bedni Bugyal has a large grazing ground for horses, mules, and sheep. People who are unable to trek generally use mules or horses to cover this route from Wan to Bedni Bugyal and proceed further to Roopkund.
Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh
In the morning transfer to railway station and from here catch AC train for Haridwar at 06:50 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:25 hrs. On arrival meet our guide and transfer to Rishikesh by road and check into hotel. In the evening visit the Ganga Ghat for Aarti ceremony at holy river Ganges. Back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Rishikesh - Karnprayag - Mundoli
In the morning after breakfast drive to Mundoli (240 km/8-9 hrs) via Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag. Arrival at Mundoli by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 3: Mundoli - Wan - Bedni Bugyal (3350 mts/11000 ft)
In the morning drive 10 kms to Wan, which is the road head for the trek. Today we will trek 11 km (5-6 hrs) to reach Bedni Bugyal, probably one of the best camping sites in the Garhwal Himalayas. Dinner and overnight stay in tents. Bedni Bugyal is a charming green meadow adorned with flowers in a spell binding varieties, in full bloom. There is a small lake situated in the midst of the meadow, where Tarpans are offered by the devotees. Situated nearby is a small temple where the devotees pay their obeisance, during their halt at Bedni Bugyal.
Day 04: Bedni - Ali Bugyal - Bedni (10 kms/4 hrs)
Today we will trek up to another Bugyal, Ali Bugyal(3300 mts). After exploring the area trek back to Bedni for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05: Bedni Bugyal - Wan - Mundoli - Karnprayag
Retrace your steps towards Wan and from here drive to Karnprayag. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 06: Karnprayag - Haridwar - Delhi
Early in the morning drive to Haridwar and from here catch AC Train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs Trip and services ends.
